What Modules Come In A CRM?

A CRM (Customer Relationship Management) module is used to help our customers run their RV dealership smoothly and successfully. EverLogic has found over 255 CRM software companies available to partner within today’s marketplace. Each one tout’s unique features and benefits. So what modules come in a CRM? An example of the available workflows are as follows:

  • Contact Management
  • Lead Management
  • Opportunity Management
  • Sales Forecasting
  • Marketing Automation
  • Sales Analytics
  • Reports and Dashboard
  • Mobile CRM
  • Sales Data
  • Sales Force Automation
  • Campaign Management

Do they have to be purchased together to use the DMS Software?

No, but in addition to a CRM module, most dealership management software (DMS) companies offer multiple modules with their platforms. Including but not limited to:

  • Point of Sale (POS)
  • Inventory
  • Document Management
  • Service
  • Sales or Desking
  • Parts
  • Financial and Insurance (F&I)
  • Back Office
  • Accounting

Software investment considerations are generally made to fix a problem, or if something at your dealership is not working at the level you need it to be. Perhaps for our example, it is communications with your customers. The benefit of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) module built into your DMS would be when a customer comes back to your dealership five years after they have purchased a unit and wish to trade it in for a new item. By having a CRM tool, you can quickly pull up this detail by their name and move forward with desking a new deal by adding the trade-in data already in your software system. Additionally, a CRM tracks their contact information such as phone, email, address, spouse, etc. Most tools also offer additional fields to maintain in your CRM, such as SSN, license, DOB, credit limit, and any discounts offered like military.

The flexibility of retrieving this data in a CRM and reviewing a sales quote saves time from viewing it on a paper file or another software package. Also, contact information from a customer kept in a CRM module available for all departments enables updates to the customer data added in real-time. This includes everyone having user access the ability to record all of their purchases, quotes, emails, phone calls, and completed for the customer to their account. Having their data in the CRM, the employee may contact them directly from their DMS via phone, text, or email with updates or when their service work is completed.

Depending on the DMS company you are researching and/or working with, modules can either be purchased individually or without a monthly or annual contract. There are also DMS platforms who sell an all-in-one system subscription service that is sold with or without a monthly or annual contract by license.

At EverLogic, our CRM is one of nine modules available for our customers. The CRM functionality is integrated within every department in a dealership which is an asset that prevents the old-style siloed communication tracking. Employees at the dealerships we support with EverLogic tell us often that being able to pull up real-time customer data is an excellent time-saver for them. It is included in the base monthly subscription license fee, so no extra costs are associated with this feature. If you would like to learn more, please click here for EverLogic Pricing
